Anne & Jack’s Cheekwood Wedding

Hey there friends! Please excuse our absence lately– we’re anxiously awaiting Baby Walker #2’s arrival any day now so we’re prepping around here…which also means making sure we’ve got our business in order for our little maternity break we’ll be taking in April.

Can’t believe we haven’t shared this GORGEOUS wedding yet. Oh my goodness. We consider it a great honor that we were able to be a part of Anne & Jack’s beautiful wedding. It was so nice getting to know them and their sweet families. They felt like old friends and we just loved capturing all the excitement surrounding their wedding – from Anne’s bridal portraits to their rehearsal dinner and finally the big wedding day. Anne was a bridesmaid in Katie & Chris’ wedding so that’s how we met her! And we’ll get to see them again this year when we shoot her cousin’s wedding! We love getting to see our couples again and again 🙂

Anne & Jack’s ceremony was at the gorgeous Christ Church Cathedral and their reception (and total dance party!) was at Cheekwood. Their wedding planner, Libby Page, did an amazing job coordinating such a big day for this special couple. We started out with their first look at Cheekwood and then headed to Christ Church for more pictures.

A note about Anne’s incredible veil– she was the 46th bride in her family to wear it! Yes, you read that right. 46th! It was purchased in 1900– talk about a family heirloom!

Thank you to these incredible vendors for making Anne & Jack’s wedding day so special:

Cayce & Charlie’s Bridge Building Wedding

Happy Friday everyone! We are really hoping this little bit of warmer weather we’re having will stick around. We’re ready for Spring and blooming trees for our upcoming photo shoots!

We had such a great time with Cayce & Charlie at their wedding this past December. Their ceremony and reception were at The Bridge Building downtown. We were so excited to shoot there & can’t wait to be back there again this year. This is such a great venue with THE most amazing view of downtown Nashville. We started their day with a first look on the pedestrian bridge- such a perfect location! The ceremony was on the roof overlooking downtown. Cayce & Charlie were so sweet & laid back and we loved getting to know them.

Towards the end of the reception, Cayce & Charlie were surprised by their family with a fireworks show! It was incredible & made for some pretty awesome pictures!! What a way to end our 2013 wedding season 🙂 Make sure to check out the shirts the guys wore. Such a fun surprise at the reception when they all took their jackets off. Amazing 😉

Check out some of our favorites from their day:

Friday Favorite | Laura & Beau’s McConnell House Wedding

Happy Friday friends! We’re headed to Memphis this weekend for Rachael & David’s wedding! We can’t wait 🙂 Stay tuned for pictures from that. It’s been a busy few months around here and we’re just coming up for air. Can’t wait to share everything we’ve been up to – including today’s gorgeous wedding 🙂 We had such a great time getting to know Laura & Beau and loved this laid back couple. Their wedding was so beautiful and simple. I just loved the little chapel where they were married. Kings Chapel is in Arrington, TN and we just loved shooting here. Their reception was at the McConnell House in downtown Franklin. This place is amazing. Such a great, unique spot for a reception and the food was absolutely incredible. 🙂 Laura & Beau had a wonderful DJ who did a great job getting everyone on the dance floor. We loved working with Josh from High Tone Entertainment!

Ruby Weddings | Julia & Micah’s Nashville Wedding

Hi everyone! We’re excited to share with you more pictures from Julia & Micah’s gorgeous wedding at Ruby in Nashville. This was such a fun wedding for us. Julia & Micah are such sweet people and we really enjoyed getting to know them. Their wedding was on a Monday which was a nice change of pace for us! They decided to do a first look and had this to say about the experience:

Julia’s thoughts:

“My nerves went out the window after I saw Micah for our first look. It was such a beautiful moment and it was probably the only time we had together without a billion people around! The pictures being done before the ceremony was also my favorite part. We got to enjoy it all and take it all in without being stressed about timelines. From someone who was a little weary about the first look, I would highly suggest it now to any couple!”

Micah’s thoughts:

“Once the ceremony started the night went pretty fast like everyone said it would. The first look gave me a chance to be present and take the time with my bride to realize what day it was.
After that moment , it seemed like time slowed down and I was able to enjoy the day with Julia. Rather than just being anxious until she walked down the aisle.”

Needless to say, they are so happy the decided to do the first look. I have to say- Micah had one of the best reactions we’ve ever seen at seeing his beautiful bride for the first time. It was a very emotional and exciting moment for them and he just kept yelling ‘wooo!’ as he looked at his beautiful bride. 🙂 I loved it. Seeing each other before the ceremony really didn’t take away from the moment she walked down the aisle- as you’ll see by the look on Micah’s face!

We had such a great time with these two. They are the kind of people you just immediately want to be friends with and their love for each other is so very obvious. I love how humble they are too. They’re both in the music industry and very talented people! Julia even recorded her singing Christina Perri’s ‘A Thousand Years’ and had it playing as a surprise to him as she walked down the aisle. The look on his face was amazing as he realized it was her singing as she came down the aisle. Talk about tear jerker!

{weddings} Amethyst & Bennett’s Scarritt Bennett Wedding

Hi everyone! I posted some of Amethyst’s bridal portraits that we did at Scarritt Bennett last Friday. Be sure to check those out! Dusty and I had a great time with this couple. We scheduled a first look with them before the ceremony and I’m so glad that we did– we had a lot of time for pictures of just the two of them. When we were done with their pictures a storm popped up and we had to do all of their wedding party pictures inside. It worked out perfect though! Amethyst was so laid back about everything and just enjoyed her day. Bennett was just happy to be marrying Amethyst. They read vows they had written for each other and it was so sweet. Thank you guys so much for allowing us to be a part of your special day!!
