Hey there friends! We’re starting to get back into the swing of things around here after having our sweet little Charlie 🙂 We’re excited to get back to work next week and are very excited to announce our Strawberry Picking Mini Sessions! You guys…this is going to be so much fun. Last year, we took Davis to Green Door Gourmet– it’s a local farm where you can pick your own strawberries. They have such a great store with all kinds of yummy local food and gifts too. We loved the pictures we took of him last year so much, we thought it might be a fun thing to do with some other Nashville families. This is a great session for people who have little kids- Davis was so proud of himself and loved running up and down the rows of Strawberries. This is a lifestyle type session so we won’t be posing large families 😉
Here are the details:

Here are some of our favorite pictures we took of Davis last year:
Hello friends! I have ‘Strawberry Fields Forver’ in my head while going through these pictures 😉 My friend Meredith told me about a small local farm where you can go pick strawberries so Davis and I went out there this past Friday. I wasn’t sure if he would really care about it but he loved it! And this kid…his love for strawberries/blueberries/blackberries is unreal. Kid can inhale some fruit. We had such a great time. I know my mom is espeically going to love these pictures. When I was a little girl I had a little bouncy seat with strawberries all over it and she has many pictures that my dad took of me in that seat chowing down with strawberries all over my face.
I seriously can’t get enough of this child. He has me totally wrapped around his finger. Can’t believe he’s a big 2 year old now. Whew. I know I will treasure these pictures 🙂
Who wants to meet us for a strawberry picking photo shoot soon?! 🙂 Would be such a cute spot for a family session!
Also…check out those last 2 pictures haha! As a photographer, I really hate to ever ask a child to smile and you will never hear us telling a child to ‘Say cheese!’ You just get forced smiles…but lately we’ve been asking Davis to ‘Smile for MawMaw’ (he calls my mom that)…and we get this hilarious face and I love it. 🙂
Yup. We document everything. I know it’s part the fact that we’re first time parents and part that we’re photographers. It’s too important to us not to capture every tiny little milestone. And I have no shame in that 🙂 I know he’ll hate us for it for a while and then later he’ll love it.
You see- haircuts for boys in our family rarely happen. We’re more shaggy hair lovers than clean cut 😉 But the other day we met up with our friend Adrienne and her little boy Collier and I officially realized our child looked like a hippie. So off we went yesterday to get Davis a little trim. We went to a cute little kids’ salon in Franklin. It was a fun experience for sure but I’m thinking next time this momma might be cutting his hair instead. I’m too picky. We didn’t really get a great after shot of the new ‘do’. It’s too short in my opinion in the front but I know it will grow out…and probably very soon seeing how this little guy has a LOT of hair.
Happy Friday everyone!
Happy Friday everyone! We’ve got a long weekend full of family sessions and a newborn session- so excited!
Our little boy turned 1 on Tuesday and we just can’t believe how quickly that happened. We are having so much fun with him at this age as he starts to show us his funny little personality. We had such a great time celebrating his 1st year with our family and friends last weekend so on his actual birthday we just spent some time together and celebrated by taking him out for some 1 year pictures. That’s how we celebrate around here 😉 I am SO in love with these pictures and this little man.
Just a few of our favorites…
Happy Friday everyone! We’re busy working on some really fun sessions we’ve done recently. We’re really excited to share pictures from a recent Day in the Life Session with the East Family next week! You might remember them from Avery’s 1st Birthday pictures we did last year. She is so precious and I had such a great time with this family documenting a day in the life of little Miss Avery 🙂
In other news, we had not one but 2 birthday parties for one year olds last weekend! And tomorrow we’re headed to another! We’ll be celebrating little Collier’s 1st birthday tomorrow with our friends Adrianne & Chris. Can’t believe our boys are so big!!!
I am SO in love with this little boy. He totally cracks me up. We took him to these birthday parties last weekend wearing this hat and he actually kept it on! And then the sunglasses…. I can’t even handle the cuteness. People ask us all the time ‘Is he always this happy?’ and I’m grateful to say ‘Yes.’ 🙂 I mean, don’t get me wrong– he can be a total crying, teething mess (which he was this day) but in general, he’s a very happy little boy. I just love these pictures Dusty got of us.
I love this picture. I totally have a double chin and I don’t even care cause this picture is love.
Happy Friday everyone!! We’re busy busy over here and so excited for everything we have going on! Just thought we would show you a small sneak peek of some of the wonderful sessions we’ve done recently. Materniy pictures in East Nashville with Kitzie & Ben, family pictures in Franklin with the Overbays and engagement pictures in Spring Hill with Tyler & Madison! It’s such an honor to be a part of capturing these special memories 🙂 It’s really fun for us now that we’ve been through all of those stages- engagement, pregnancy and family life. We know how important each of those life stages are and we know how important these pictures will be to our clients.
Check back for more from each of these sessions soon!

Kitzie & Ben’s maternity session in East Nashville
Kitzie. You’ve always been stunning but you are EXTRA gorgeous as a glowing mama! 🙂
Kitzie and Ben don’t have a name picked out quite yet for their little man so they’ve been calling him Biscuit 🙂 Love it!
Family pictures in Franklin with the Overbays (Parker is a total ham. It was so fun just to let him do his thing and capture this sweet family!)
Engagement Pictures with our sweet (and TALENTED) friends Tyler & Madison:
Happy Friday everyone! It is BEAUTIFUL outside and I am loving it! I plan to enjoy every second of the weather while it’s like this. We didn’t get much of a Spring when we were living in Charleston– it pretty much went from Cold to HOT. I’m hoping we get a nice break from the cold for a while with some 75 degree days!
We’re packing up again to head out of town. This time we’re headed to Memphis for our friends Emily & Dustin’s wedding! I can’t wait to see them and our other Memphis friends.
SPRING is here everyone! Can you believe it?! And I’m starting to book up quickly. Seriously, March- May are about to be crazy so if you’re looking for family photography I suggest you book fast!
