Yup. We document everything. I know it’s part the fact that we’re first time parents and part that we’re photographers. It’s too important to us not to capture every tiny little milestone. And I have no shame in that 🙂 I know he’ll hate us for it for a while and then later he’ll love it.
You see- haircuts for boys in our family rarely happen. We’re more shaggy hair lovers than clean cut 😉 But the other day we met up with our friend Adrienne and her little boy Collier and I officially realized our child looked like a hippie. So off we went yesterday to get Davis a little trim. We went to a cute little kids’ salon in Franklin. It was a fun experience for sure but I’m thinking next time this momma might be cutting his hair instead. I’m too picky. We didn’t really get a great after shot of the new ‘do’. It’s too short in my opinion in the front but I know it will grow out…and probably very soon seeing how this little guy has a LOT of hair.
Happy Friday everyone!
Happy Friday everyone! We’re busy working on some really fun sessions we’ve done recently. We’re really excited to share pictures from a recent Day in the Life Session with the East Family next week! You might remember them from Avery’s 1st Birthday pictures we did last year. She is so precious and I had such a great time with this family documenting a day in the life of little Miss Avery 🙂
In other news, we had not one but 2 birthday parties for one year olds last weekend! And tomorrow we’re headed to another! We’ll be celebrating little Collier’s 1st birthday tomorrow with our friends Adrianne & Chris. Can’t believe our boys are so big!!!
I am SO in love with this little boy. He totally cracks me up. We took him to these birthday parties last weekend wearing this hat and he actually kept it on! And then the sunglasses…. I can’t even handle the cuteness. People ask us all the time ‘Is he always this happy?’ and I’m grateful to say ‘Yes.’ 🙂 I mean, don’t get me wrong– he can be a total crying, teething mess (which he was this day) but in general, he’s a very happy little boy. I just love these pictures Dusty got of us.
I love this picture. I totally have a double chin and I don’t even care cause this picture is love.
Happy Friday everyone!! We’re busy busy over here and so excited for everything we have going on! Just thought we would show you a small sneak peek of some of the wonderful sessions we’ve done recently. Materniy pictures in East Nashville with Kitzie & Ben, family pictures in Franklin with the Overbays and engagement pictures in Spring Hill with Tyler & Madison! It’s such an honor to be a part of capturing these special memories 🙂 It’s really fun for us now that we’ve been through all of those stages- engagement, pregnancy and family life. We know how important each of those life stages are and we know how important these pictures will be to our clients.
Check back for more from each of these sessions soon!
**Also- our Spring Mini Sessions are booking up fast- please email us today at firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your spot!!
Kitzie & Ben’s maternity session in East Nashville
Kitzie. You’ve always been stunning but you are EXTRA gorgeous as a glowing mama! 🙂
Kitzie and Ben don’t have a name picked out quite yet for their little man so they’ve been calling him Biscuit 🙂 Love it!
Family pictures in Franklin with the Overbays (Parker is a total ham. It was so fun just to let him do his thing and capture this sweet family!)
Engagement Pictures with our sweet (and TALENTED) friends Tyler & Madison:
Happy Friday everyone!!! We’re busy over here scheduling all kinds of great stuff- weddings for some really incredible couples and tons of family sessions for the Spring! SO excited about all that is to come.
We woke up last Saturday to fresh snow on the ground. It was such a fun surprise. And immediately I jump into gear and grab the camera and Dusty says ‘maybe you should feed Davis first this time’. Hah alright, fine. So, we fed the poor child and then bundled him up for our 2nd attempt at some pictures of him in the snow. He did much better this time. He just smiled at us and then looked at the ground trying to figure it all out. And then he was cold and he wasn’t very amused. Some of the faces this kid makes. He cracks me up. I know we’ll love these pictures so much later. I seriously have about 2000 pictures I want to print of this child and hang on our walls. That would be a little weird though.
A smile! 🙂 Mommy is happy now.
His Aunt Cara gave him these boots. She’ll be very happy to see this picture.
OK so he has a ton of hats. We had a little hat fashion show. Before, we were getting pretty good smiles out of him. And then…this. Haha! Davis is not impressed.
I love watching him take it all in. Sweet boy.
Happy Friday everyone! It’s official. Our child is going to hate me. I woke up quite determined to get pictures of him in the ‘snow’. Yeah, we had about 1/8″ of snow and I immediately had to take pictures! We were literally outside for maybe 3 minutes. Sometimes you just have to call it. Even being a baby photographer can’t guarantee a perfect shoot. These baby models just don’t cooperate sometimes 😉 Poor Davis haha.
We got one semi- good shot.
And then this. And it was over.
