Happy Friday everyone!
5 years ago today I married the love of my life 🙂 I can’t believe that was 5 years ago. Time has certainly flown by! It’s so fun to look back on that day and think about all that has happened in our lives since the day we got married. A fun 4 years of living in Charleston, a big move to Nashville, buying a house, being pregnant, a baby boy, a business together. Wow. We are so blessed. I just can’t imagine what the next 5 years will be like.
Dusty, thank you for being the most amazing husband. Your support and encouragement the past 5 years led us in a direction I never could have imagined. We run a business together. 🙂
And wow…. I never could have imagined the love I would have for this little boy and how he would change our hearts. Watching you as a dad has made me so incredibly proud and so excited for Davis that he has such a wonderful daddy. I love our little family!
Thank you for everything you do for us, for taking care of us and for making us laugh every single day. I love you!
Now that we’re wedding photographers- it makes it even more incredible for us to look back on these pictures. When I look at these pictures I see a celebration. I see lots of laughter. It makes me so very happy to look at these incredible pictures of our day and remember how that day felt. Celebrating life is obviously at the core of who we are as individuals and as a couple. We are two people who truly celebrate our moments and memories together. My hope for us in the next 5, 10, 50 years is that we always have that attitude. That we instill in our children the ability to stop and smell the roses. As cliche as that sounds, it’s so true.
A look back at our wedding day. Photos by Climie & Co.
Check out my flip phone 😉 haha!
Yes, this happened right before we left for pictures. I love my friends. Please look at me in the background running away haha.
Happy Friday everyone! We’ve got a long weekend full of family sessions and a newborn session- so excited!
Our little boy turned 1 on Tuesday and we just can’t believe how quickly that happened. We are having so much fun with him at this age as he starts to show us his funny little personality. We had such a great time celebrating his 1st year with our family and friends last weekend so on his actual birthday we just spent some time together and celebrated by taking him out for some 1 year pictures. That’s how we celebrate around here 😉 I am SO in love with these pictures and this little man.
Just a few of our favorites…
Happy Good Friday everyone! 🙂 We’re excited for the Easter weekend but wishing the weather was going to be nicer!
We are so proud to share a recent Day in the Life session we did with the East Family today 🙂 This type of session is is near and dear our hearts and now that we have sweet little Davis in our lives we really see the importance of these pictures even more. As Davis nears his 1st birthday I find myself looking back on the past year and it is a total whirlwind. How in the world did this go by so quickly!? I remember this time last year feeling so ready for him to arrive and then all of a sudden he was here and he completely changed our lives.
It goes by so fast.
Everyone says it- don’t blink because it goes by so fast. And I truly didn’t understand that until we had a baby of our own. They are only tiny for so long and they change so quickly. All of these moments with him as a little one, watching him learn and discover things each day- it’s so important to capture this!
We were thrilled when the East family wanted to do a Day in the Life session with us. We did Avery’s 1st birthday pictures last year and had such a great time. She’s hilarious and not afraid of anything 🙂 I loved getting to hang out with this family again and just let Miss Avery do her thing.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Day in the Life Photography, here’s a little info!
What are Day in the Life sessions like?
These sessions are perfect for a family with small children. You’ve done the typical family session and you’re looking for something different. The unposed, playing with your children kind of pictures (although we do a lot of this in our regular family sessions) at your house with no rules. Children are encouraged to just play and be themselves and parents are encouraged to relax and just have fun with your kids! We stay in the background as much as possible and just capture your family as you are. No ironing the kids clothes, no bribing the kids to ‘smile at the camera’. These sessions typically take about 2-3 hours. We plan them around playtime, lunchtime/dinnertime and we focus on capturing your day to day life as a family. Reading stories, playing outside, eating together, bedtime & bathtime. All of those moments make up your real life and we believe they deserve to be captured. These sessions make perfect pictures for a gorgeous album of your family. Years down the road when the kids are off to school and you’re remembering the sweet time you had with them as babies, you will not regret investing in these pictures.

A Day in the Life of the East Family…
Where is Avery? 😉
There she is! 🙂
Happy Friday everyone!!! We’re busy over here scheduling all kinds of great stuff- weddings for some really incredible couples and tons of family sessions for the Spring! SO excited about all that is to come.
We woke up last Saturday to fresh snow on the ground. It was such a fun surprise. And immediately I jump into gear and grab the camera and Dusty says ‘maybe you should feed Davis first this time’. Hah alright, fine. So, we fed the poor child and then bundled him up for our 2nd attempt at some pictures of him in the snow. He did much better this time. He just smiled at us and then looked at the ground trying to figure it all out. And then he was cold and he wasn’t very amused. Some of the faces this kid makes. He cracks me up. I know we’ll love these pictures so much later. I seriously have about 2000 pictures I want to print of this child and hang on our walls. That would be a little weird though.
A smile! 🙂 Mommy is happy now.
His Aunt Cara gave him these boots. She’ll be very happy to see this picture.
OK so he has a ton of hats. We had a little hat fashion show. Before, we were getting pretty good smiles out of him. And then…this. Haha! Davis is not impressed.
I love watching him take it all in. Sweet boy.
Happy Friday everyone!!
Yes, we’re continuing the Friday Favorite series but it might be a little different than it’s been in the past 🙂 We’ll be posting recent work, our thoughts and ramblings, personal work and thoughts from our daily lives. And you can also expect to hear from us more often! We hope you enjoy!
Today we’re excited to show you the gorgeous collateral that Emily Ley designed for us. We love everything about our new note cards, business cards & gift tags. Everything fits us perfectly. And you can’t go wrong with letterpress. Ever. I seriously feel bad writing on these note cards because they are so gorgeous. Emily provided us with such a pretty, exciting color palette and we had such a great time using it to prepare everything for our launch. We had stickers printed and other fun gifts using our logo and other design elements. We don’t want to share everything here though. Some things need to stay a surprise for our clients!
Check out our printed pieces:
Hope everyone has a fantastic weekend!
Happy Friday everyone! We’re in Atlanta visiting my family for Christmas and then headed back to Nashville on Christmas Eve. We’re so excited about our little boy’s first Christmas! I know he won’t remember this and Dusty thinks I’m crazy for wrapping gifts for an 8 month old…but I don’t care. I want him to see pictures of his first Christmas and we can at least teach him how to unopen gifts. I totally understand that he’ll love the paper more than anything but I just can’t help it. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from our family to yours!
A HUGE thank you to Chris & Adrienne Scott for our family pictures. 🙂
Happy Friday everyone! Coming to you from Daytona, FL. We’re here shooting Hanna & Rhee’s wedding 🙂 It’s fun to get away and shoot a wedding in another city!
But we sure are missing this little guy…
