Hello friends! I have ‘Strawberry Fields Forver’ in my head while going through these pictures 😉 My friend Meredith told me about a small local farm where you can go pick strawberries so Davis and I went out there this past Friday. I wasn’t sure if he would really care about it but he loved it! And this kid…his love for strawberries/blueberries/blackberries is unreal. Kid can inhale some fruit. We had such a great time. I know my mom is espeically going to love these pictures. When I was a little girl I had a little bouncy seat with strawberries all over it and she has many pictures that my dad took of me in that seat chowing down with strawberries all over my face.
I seriously can’t get enough of this child. He has me totally wrapped around his finger. Can’t believe he’s a big 2 year old now. Whew. I know I will treasure these pictures 🙂
Who wants to meet us for a strawberry picking photo shoot soon?! 🙂 Would be such a cute spot for a family session!
Also…check out those last 2 pictures haha! As a photographer, I really hate to ever ask a child to smile and you will never hear us telling a child to ‘Say cheese!’ You just get forced smiles…but lately we’ve been asking Davis to ‘Smile for MawMaw’ (he calls my mom that)…and we get this hilarious face and I love it. 🙂
Ohhhh man. This is going to be a happy and emotional day for this mama. Just thinking back a year ago- at this moment we were in the hospital and our family and friends were in the waiting room. At 10:18 our sweet baby boy arrived. We waited till that wonderful moment to find out if we were having a boy or girl and it was so incredible when the room shouted ‘it’s a boy!’.
Davis Charles Walker you have changed this mama in ways I never thought were possible. Birthdays are forever changed for me– now I’ll always remember the anticipation in the days before he was born, how scared but also calm I was, how sweet that moment was when he entered this world, the flood of emotions when I saw his face and they handed him to me. I can’t believe a year has gone by already! We feel so blessed to be your parents sweet boy!
Happy Friday everyone!!! We’re busy over here scheduling all kinds of great stuff- weddings for some really incredible couples and tons of family sessions for the Spring! SO excited about all that is to come.
We woke up last Saturday to fresh snow on the ground. It was such a fun surprise. And immediately I jump into gear and grab the camera and Dusty says ‘maybe you should feed Davis first this time’. Hah alright, fine. So, we fed the poor child and then bundled him up for our 2nd attempt at some pictures of him in the snow. He did much better this time. He just smiled at us and then looked at the ground trying to figure it all out. And then he was cold and he wasn’t very amused. Some of the faces this kid makes. He cracks me up. I know we’ll love these pictures so much later. I seriously have about 2000 pictures I want to print of this child and hang on our walls. That would be a little weird though.
A smile! 🙂 Mommy is happy now.
His Aunt Cara gave him these boots. She’ll be very happy to see this picture.
OK so he has a ton of hats. We had a little hat fashion show. Before, we were getting pretty good smiles out of him. And then…this. Haha! Davis is not impressed.
Happy Friday everyone! It’s official. Our child is going to hate me. I woke up quite determined to get pictures of him in the ‘snow’. Yeah, we had about 1/8″ of snow and I immediately had to take pictures! We were literally outside for maybe 3 minutes. Sometimes you just have to call it. Even being a baby photographer can’t guarantee a perfect shoot. These baby models just don’t cooperate sometimes 😉 Poor Davis haha.
Happy Friday everyone! We’re in Atlanta visiting my family for Christmas and then headed back to Nashville on Christmas Eve. We’re so excited about our little boy’s first Christmas! I know he won’t remember this and Dusty thinks I’m crazy for wrapping gifts for an 8 month old…but I don’t care. I want him to see pictures of his first Christmas and we can at least teach him how to unopen gifts. I totally understand that he’ll love the paper more than anything but I just can’t help it. Merry Christmas & Happy New Year from our family to yours!
A HUGE thank you to Chris & Adrienne Scott for our family pictures. 🙂
Happy Friday everyone! Ok… so I missed last Friday and didn’t post a Friday Favorite. Oops. We were having too much fun putting lights on our house and making our 2nd Thanksgiving dinner 🙂
I am SO excited to share these pictures of my sweet friend Adrianne & her boys. Adrianne is one of my best friends from college. We got married together, pregnant together and had babies 2 weeks apart. Love this girl for her friendship and these amazing experiences we get to have together! Remember her gorgeous maternity photos we did? I wasn’t able to do her newborn pictures because I was within days of having little Davis 😉 So, I was really excited to finally be able to take some pictures of this sweet family. Collier is adorable and I just want to squeeze him! Check out some of my favorites:
Family session in a field of cotton??!! YES PLEASE! 🙂 This cotton field is about 90 minutes from Nashville…anyone up for driving out there cause I’ll take pictures there every single day if I have to!
SWEET BOY! Just love him so much!
We of course had to get some of Davis and Collier together. They’re going to be best buds 🙂
My son is going to hate me. I’m sure of it. There will always be a camera in his face – which he’ll probably either hate or (hopefully) won’t even notice since he’s so used to it. But then I’ll do things like dress him up as a tiger and plop him in some hay and he’ll think I’m crazy. And I’m OK with that. When else will I get the chance to dress him up like this and take pictures? This sweet baby will soon be a wild, muddy, batman costume wearing boy. So I’m going to cuddle him as long as he’ll let me 🙂
Happy Friday everyone! Dusty and I LOVE going to Arrington Vineyards. If you haven’t been you have to go! It’s just so beautiful and relaxing out there. We went a couple of weeks ago and took Davis with us. Yup, we brought a baby to a winery 😉 He wasn’t the only one though! We found a great spot and just hung out on blankets for hours. Davis loved it! He just played on the blankets and then just started sucking his thumb and fell asleep. If you follow me on instagram I posted tons of pictures. It was the cutest thing ever. We brought the camera of course and took TONS of pictures. We had our own little family session out there! It was honestly one of my favorite days. Check out some of my favorites…I am so in love with these pictures.
Happy Friday everyone! Well…I’ve started a new project. I can already see how much I want to document every second of Davis’ life but I needed a separate place for that so this blog isn’t taken over by the little guy 😉 So, we started a new family blog! Now you’ll have another place to check out what’s going on in our personal life and this blog can get back to bridal portraits, weddings & families!
Check it out! W The Family will be our new home for all things Davis 🙂 Oh- and a sneak peek of one of his newborn pictures I took!
